Conference objectives: This conference will provide participants with a multidisciplinary approach to programs and resources for addressing the problem of truancy and related issues. The conference program will present practical approaches and strategies for achieving successful outcomes to the truancy problem in schools and communities. Conference participants will attend dynamic plenary sessions, informative workshops, and interactive roundtable sessions.

Audience: The audience is composed of school personnel, law enforcement officials, court personnel, juvenile justice officials, social service workers, local and state policymakers, local community leaders, health professionals, faith-based organizations, and other practitioners.

Presenters: We are looking for individuals to share information on effective practices and programs that prevent or reduce truancy (for example, by improving school attendance, increasing graduation rates, and engaging youth in positive school and community activities). Submissions will only be accepted for programs and practices that show evidence of effectiveness in preventing or reducing truancy and related problems. Submissions are expected to describe evidence of effectiveness and provide supporting documentation, if available.
