Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice To Meet in Austin

On October 29-31, 2009, in Austin, TX, the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice (FACJJ) will hold its fall Quarterly Meeting, as announced in the Federal Register. The meeting will include presentations on law enforcement approaches to disproportionate minority contact in the juvenile justice system, roundtable discussions with Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) leadership on key issues, discussions to generate options for enhancing FACJJ, and a facilitated discussion on the impact to states of key issues and members' advice to OJJDP to address those impacts.

Composed of one representative from each state and territory, FACJJ advises the President, Congress, and the Administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention on matters pertaining to OJJDP's mission.
